Neil Young, the Capitalist
He will be remembered fondly
And not for his folly
A great man, indeed
A man who continued to create art
Writing songs into late in life
But he insisted on making as much
Money as possible, a true capitalist that
As a young man he was not conspiring to be
Even then, he was not without fault
Where he had generation join his chorus
He also thought of women as maids
Still he did write some beautiful songs
That gave comfort to the soft-hearted
And lonely, that does not change that
In his later years he dedicated his art
To making as much money
As possible, and true, he stood up to fascists
For a time, though not having started a movement
He relented and returned to the fascist medium
How can a capitalist start an anti-fascist
Movement, Neil? That cannot happen.
Maybe you did not spend your life
In the right place at the right time
After all
